Please forward to ALL supervisors, and Chris Jellison
Hi Doug,
I am attaching an excerpt from the town of Paradise regarding what they’re doing about the homeless population and
people squatting on property.
Many of us up here in Magalia have concerns that the supervisors will extend this camping permit beyond the end of
the year in the County! That is unacceptable and I feel if the town of Paradise can get it under control so can the
county!!!!
We have been subjected to drugs, recklessness, harassment, vandalism, assault, thieves, yelling, fighting, trash, raw
sewage and a numerous amount of other infractions in our neighborhood.
As this date nothing has changed other than the people on the hill moving their stuff around on to other properties
now that they’ve been cited.
It’s out of control and we need much more supervision up there and enforcement of the rules.
There are RVs that are not fit to live in and according to chapter 53 they need to be registered and Street or the RVs.
I am pushing Code Enforcement only to be labeled as a problem child.
I am begging you not to extend this camping ordinance and to request that Code Enforcement enforce the ordinances
that were set up in the chapter 53. That was created for residents, as the Paradise notification states.
Sincerely
Susan Copeland

Town of Paradise post;
The RV Urgency Ordinance that was set to end on June 30th has been extended to September 31. At that time, it
will be re-evaluated to see if it warrants another extension to December 31st. This applies to people who have an
RV permit and are living on their own property with the required services (water, septic, power). Code enforcement
will be actively contacting and enforcing the current code for those who do not own the property they are on or do
not have the required services. They were out making contact with 40 such occupants yesterday. Renters are not
allowed (and never have been ) to be occupying RVs on property they do not own. I will share a more thorough
summary of what was discussed and decided at last night's Town COuncil meeting when it is available.
