Hello All,
I am writing about the narrow long bridge on Ord Ferry Rd, between River Rd and 7 mile road.
I work in Glenn County just across the river on road 32 1/2. I drive to Chico multiple times a week.
I drive a 2012 chevy 1500. Nothing unusual.
Every time I have opposing traffic on that long narrow bridge I am terrified. I am a 60 year old man and have spend
4 years in the United State Marine Corps.
I do not scare easily.
I think about writing you every time I cross that bridge.
Please make the replacement of that bridge to High Priority.
I have pulled a regular utility trailer a few time across that bridge. When I do, if there are any cars or trucks
approaching from the opposite direction I stop in my lane before going onto the bridge, to allow the opposing
vehicle to clear off the bridge.
This is a very bad bridge on a highly travel road. There are many large farm and commercial vehicles that use that
road. Please do something. Make it a one way road and put up a stop light or something temporarily.
The real solution is a new wider bridge with a shoulder
Please do something.
One of my friends a 40 year old, recently scraped the side of his vehicle on the bridge to give space for an opposing
vehicle.
