WHEREAS, Dr. James B. Wood has dedicated significant time to public service while performing contract services
for Butte County - California Children's Services; and
WHEREAS, Dr, Wood served as a Butte County Medical Therapy Clinic Physician for the California Children's
Services Program, from 1978 to 2010; and
WHEREAS, Dr. Wood served as the Butte County — California Children's Services Program Medical Consultant,
overseeing care of children, with qualifying medical conditions from 1984 through April 2021; and
WHEREAS, Dr. Wood exemplified the highest standard of public service by upholding the health and welfare of
children needing complex medical care by working to provide access to appropriate services; and
WHEREAS, Dr. Wood strived to improve medical care and access to medical care for all children in Butte County;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Butte County Board of Supervisors hereby acknowledges and honors
Dr. James B. Wood for his service to Butte County,
