On September 30th, 2020, FC Russ Palamaryuk and FC Chris Boyd conducted a follow up inspection at the
Feather Falls Casino and The Lodge Hotel. I would like to Thank You and Your staff for tremendous work that
was done to correct issues brought up in the previous inspection in June and that the public safety is a top
priority for the Feather Falls Casino and Staff.
There are few items that we would like to see get corrected and which were discussed with Damon and Chris.
o Provide Butte County Fire Department with last annual and a 5 year State Fire Marsha approved
inspection records for all facilities.You can email them directly to FC Palamaryuk at
Ruslan.Palamaryuk@fire.ca.gov.
o Closet near the main entrance. where Butte County Fire hose cache is located;
1. Patch holes in sheetrock.
2. Replace/install ceiling tile moved by workers.
3. Cover the hole in the cinder block with a cover(recommendation only, not required).
o The Lodge;
1. Fire extinguisher near the pool needs annual test.
2. Patch the sheetrock near the large swamp cooler on the fourth floor(recommendation only,
sheetrock is intact but is starting to fail, Per FC Boyd)
o East Casino Building;
1. Exit signs that were removed may be required due to occupancy number. Damon and FC Boyd
are working together on the occupancy for the East casino floor and the final number will
determine the need.
o Storage area behind the brewery emergency lighting not working.
Once items above are corrected, please call Fire Station 72 at 530-538-7565 for final.

On June 9th, 2020 I, Fire Apparatus Engineer Michael Parker, conducted a Life Safety Inspection at the Feather
Falls Casino and The Lodge Hotel. Below are items recommended for correction that were identified as life
safety concerns during our inspection.
Parking Structure
o Please provide Palermo Station #72 with the plumbing plans for the standpipe system.
o Please provide Palermo Station#72 the annual and the 5 year State Fire Marshal approved inspection
and maintenance records for the standpipe system.
o All extinguishers need to be tested by a certified technician and inspected monthly with monthly
signatures on the inspection tags. Corrected 9/30/2020
o B2 aluminum gate is not operable from inside the structure. Manual pull chain operation requires
repairs. Not required per FC Boyd.
o Remove extinguisher sign West of the B2 Aluminum gate.There is no extinguisher at that location.

o Recommend a one-way air release valve to be installed at the highest point on the standpipe plumbing.
To release the pressure if the system is needed to be charged. Not required per FC Boyd. Casino has
chosen not to install.
o Recommend a chained spanner wrench at each 2%' hand wheel discharge valve on the standpipe
system. Not required per FC Boyd. Casino has chosen not to install.
o Label electrical panel with Electric Vehicle charging station shut-offs. Label each breaker for the
individual charging station. Corrected 9/30/2020
o Elevator Stairwell: B1 Extinguisher needs annual maintenance. Corrected 9/30/2020
o Sign identifying FDC installed near parking structure main vehicle entrance 9/30/2020
Casino
o Please provide Palermo Station#72 the annual and the 5 year State Fire Marshal approved inspection
and maintenance records for the riser and sprinkler systems.
o East wing Fire Department Connection (FDC) needs to be signed and the landscaping removed for Fire
Department use. Corrected 9/30/2020
o Storage room with the Fire Department hose cache has broken or damaged ceiling tiles.
o Hole in cinder block wall needs to be sealed. Recommended cover installed but not required per
FC Boyd. 9/30/2020
o Extinguisher needs monthly inspection signatures. Corrected 9/30/2020

Casino Continued: Main Entrance and East Building
o Remove the trash/ash tray cans and rope barrier poles from the exit egress between the East building
and the West building. Corrected 9/30/2020
o Exit Signs:
o Main entrance South sign does not illuminate when tested. Corrected 9/30/2020
o All four exit signs between the East building and the West building do not illuminate or reflect.
Requires a 90 minute back up battery.These four signs are a different style than all the others
and do not have electrical power to them. FC Boyd and Damon are working together to see if
required based on the occupancy permitted in the East Casino.
o Brewery entrance sign does not illuminate when tested. Corrected 9/30/2020
o Between the dining room and the bar does not illuminate when tested. Corrected 9/30/2020
o Brewery kitchen signs do not illuminate when tested. Corrected 9/30/2020
o Brewery kitchen hallway signs do not illuminate when tested. Corrected 9/30/2020
o Most exit and emergency lighting in East building 2nd floor did not illuminate when tested.
o All extinguishers need to be tested by a certified technician and inspected monthly with monthly
signatures on the inspection tags. Corrected 9/30/2020

o #45 needs annual testing and monthly inspection signatures.
o #3 needs annual testing and monthly inspection signatures.
o Deli extinguisher needs to be a K type extinguisher due to the deep fryer.
o Fire danger concern: Proximity of the Deli deep fryer and the ceiling sprinkler.
o Remove Halon extinguisher from brewery kitchen.
o Add an additional K type extinguisher in brewery kitchen. Cannot exceed 60' apart, 30 feet from
the fryer.
o Remove "doors chained shut" sign near the brewery exits. Corrected 9/30/2020
o Remove storage items blocking fire exit& extinguisher in the non-smoking bingo room. Corrected
9/30/2020
o Replace curtains on stage and around the non-smoking bingo room with fire rated curtains. Curtains
have been certified. FC Boyd has the copy.
o Clear storage items 36" from all electrical panel. Corrected 9/30/2020
o Maintain 18" of clearance from the ceiling in hallway storage closet near the brewery. Corrected
9/30/2020
o Vent grates in South Tank Room need excessive buildup removed. Corrected 9/30/2020
o Open outlet cover with exposed wires. Not found 9/30/2020
o Drywall holes in the PED Link. Corrected 9/30/2020
