BUTTE COUNTY WORKSHOP FOR GENERAL PLAN 2040 UPDATE
TO BE HELD ON JUNE 29
Butte County is currently undertaking an update of its General Plan, last updated in 2010. The
General Plan 2040 update process will support the County’s efforts to recover from both the
Camp Fire and North Complex Fire, to become more resilient to the effects of climate change,
to address housing needs, and environmental justice issues.
The first Butte County General Plan Update Workshop will be held on June 29, 2021 from 6-
8pm. This Workshop is your opportunity to share insights on a variety of community needs
and opportunities, as well as to submit your ideas for the future. This workshop will be held in
a hybrid format, in which community members may choose to attend either virtually or in
person. Register now at https://bit.ly/2TEq7Ce to participate virtually through Zoom or in
person at 25 County Center Drive, Ste. 205, Oroville, CA. where staff from PlaceWorks
Consulting and the County will facilitate live and remote discussion groups.
This will be a great opportunity to learn about the General Plan 2040 process, and to provide
