Mask Policy 6.15.21.pdf
Board Members,
Consistent with the updated guidance from CDPH, we are updating mask use policy for County
employees. Under most circumstances, fully vaccinated employees do not need to wear a mask.
Unvaccinated employees will continue to wear masks as we have been. We have provided an
attestation form that employees will fill out, which will allow them to forego mask use.
I will be sending out a countywide email announcing this in a few minutes.

Mask Policy 6-15-21
The State of California has updated its mask use guidelines. Effective June 15,
2021 for Butte County employees:
Individuals who are fully vaccinated against COVID-19 generally do not
need to wear masks. There are a few exceptions for individuals who work in
health care, public transit, congregate shelters, and correctional
facilities. Please check with your Supervisor if you have questions. Fully
vaccinated means an individual who has received both doses of either the
Moderna or Pfizer vaccine, or a single dose of the Johnson and Johnson
vaccine, or any other vaccine that may receive emergency use
authorization by the Federal Drug Administration.
Individuals who are not fully vaccinated are required to wear masks any
work space does not contain mitigations such as Plexiglas separation,
cubicle walls, or other enclosed spaces, individuals who are not fully
vaccinated are required to wear a mask in their work space.
Masks do not need to be worn outdoors where there is sufficient social
distancing.
Fully vaccinated employees will need to sign an attestation that they are
fully vaccinated. Without this attestation employees will be required to
wear masks any place outside their own personal work space. The
attestation does not require proof of vaccine at this time.
Employees who are not fully vaccinated, or who do not disclose their
vaccination status, and state they cannot wear masks must be referred to
the Human Resources Department to explore accommodations.
