I’m pleased to provide copies of a press release and flyer on the upcoming free residential
green waste disposal program. This information will be released to the media and on our social
media sites later today. We have also provided this information to our fire safety partners in
the hopes that they can share it with the public. Please feel free to share this information with

At the June 82021 Board of Supervisors meeting, the Board approved a Free Residential Green
Waste Disposal pilot program for properties in the Wildland Urban Interface (WUI)that will allow
residents of at-risk communities to dispose of greenwaste for free at the Neal Road Landfill.The
pilot program includesup to 10 free residential green waste disposal days from June thru November
2021.
Upcoming days identified for free residential green waste disposal include June 30 (Wednesday),
July 10(Saturday), and July 22 (Thursday). On these days between 7 am and 4 pm, residentsliving
in WUI areas can haul and unload their green waste free of charge at the Neal Road Landfill.
Residents are required to provide valid identification and proof of residency. Residential loads are
limited to 3 cubic yards per trip. If material is transported in bags, the bags must be emptied on-site
and removed by the hauler. Prohibited items include commercial green waste, rounds larger than 24
inches, stumps, rocks, boards, and trash.
