Please find attached our second regular monthly update for the purpose of keeping the Butte
County Board of Supervisors and LAFCo Board apprised of progress in the Sewer Project. We will
continue to send these on a regular basis and welcome any opportunities to address the Board(s) as
requested.

Paradise Sewer Project
Subject: June 2021 Monthly Status Report for Paradise Sewer Project to Butte County Agencies
Date:June 29, 2021

This monthly memo is intended to be a high level summary of activities for the purpose of regular
communication with Butte County agencies and to identify any need for formal Board presentations.
For project information, please see www.paradisesewer.com.
Efforts for Past Month:
Met with Butte LAFCo staff on May 24, 2021 to present an update on the project and
coordinate efforts.
Held second and final Environmental Impact Report (EIR) virtual scoping meeting on May 25,
2021. Began preparation of EIR Scoping Report.
The Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control Board (Regional Board) hosted the second
Sewer Regionalization Project Advisory Committee (SRPAC) meeting on June 14, 2021 in-
person at the Town of Paradise Council Chambers. The Committee decided to shift to meeting
frequency to once every two months, with the next meeting planned for August 9, 2021.
Continued to update public website (www.paradisesewer.com).
Efforts for Next Month:
Continue analysis efforts on the Draft Environmental Impact Report (EIR). Finalize cultural field
studies. Update Project Description and Alternatives sections.
Prepare EIR Scoping Report.
Requests/Interactions with County Agencies:
EIR field work would benefit from access to several private parcels in south Chico (outside of
the city limits). We would like to explore potential rights-of-entry requests for those parcels.
