Board Vacancy Notice
The Butte County Board of Supervisors is hereby giving notice of a vacancy on the Butte County Resource
Conservation District, District 1 Representative. The Board of Supervisors may consider making an appointment
to fill this vacancy on or after August 2, 2021. The term of this appointment ends November 29, 2024.
Resource Conservation Districts are special districts that help private landowners protect soil, water, wildlife
habitat, and other natural resources. Resource Conservation Districts make available technical, financial and
educational resources, whatever their source, and focus or coordinate them so that they meet the needs of the
local land manager with conservation of soil, water and related natural resources.
The Butte County Resource District is governed by a five-member Board of Directors appointed by the Board of
Supervisors, with one member be appointed by each supervisorial district, comprised of local landowners,
ranchers, and farmers. Members appointed to the Board of Directors serve 4 year terms and continue to serve
until their successor is appointed.
Persons interested in being considered for this appointment shall submit an Application for Appointment, which
can be found at bcadmin.net/appointmentslist . Applications can be submitted online, via email at
clerkoftheboard@buttecounty.net or by regular mail to 25 County Center Drive, Suite 200, Oroville, CA 95965.
