Board Members,
The EOC went virtual last night at 9pm, and came back in person at 7am today. We did not have
anyone stay at the shelter, and had one dog at the animal shelter. This correlates with the fact that
many, if not most, of the homes in the evacuation order area are second homes. CAL FIRE briefed us
this morning that they have a high degree of confidence that the fire will be heading into a different
direction, into a non-populated area. The likelihood of additional evacuations right now is low. If the
day develops as we think it will, we’ll stand down the people shelter, and the EOC will continue to be
activated, but virtually. That way if the fire does the unexpected and we have more evac orders, we
can stand up the shelter quickly.
