Good morning Board – quick update from the EOC this morning.
We continue to operate the EOC virtual. Both human and animal shelter were closed yesterday,
7/26. Essentially at this point – we are on standby, getting daily briefings from CalFIRE, and ready to
elevate if the event the fire were to shift west.
The fire currently sits at approximately 208K acres, 23% contained…with about 12K acres in Butte
County. Favorable weather conditions today – only minor concern is around the impacts the moister
may have on the backfiring work that’s being done.
We will continue to operate the EOC virtual, and be ready to elevate should the need arise.
