WHAT: ****Press Conference****
LaMalfa, Nielsen and Gallagher are joining forces to decry Governor Newsom’s lack of
leadership and gross mismanagement of the state’s water, power and forests/wildlands. They
are demanding urgent action because Californians are suffering.
The wells that rural communities depend on are running dry, farmers are being denied water to
grow food, there are weekly threats of rolling blackouts and Public Safety Power Shutoffs, and
hundreds of thousands of acres are burning throughout the state, threatening lives, property
and wildlife.

WHERE: Top of Oroville Dam
Canyon Drive and Oroville Dam Road
(The hydroelectric plant at Oroville Dam may stop generating electricity for the first time
because water levels are so low.)
