The plans you recently submitted have been reviewed by the Fire Department referencing
the Public Resources Code 4290 and 4291, Butte County Improvement Standards and the 2016
edition of the California Fire Code (CFC). The comments listed below in the body of this letter
must be addressed prior to Fire Department Final Inspection of your project.
1. Disposal of Flammable Vegetation and Fuels: Disposal, including chipping,burning or
removal to a landfill site approved by the local jurisdiction, of flammable vegetation and
fuels caused by site development and construction, road and driveway construction, and
fuel modification shall be completed prior to completion of road construction or final
inspection of a building permit.
The Fire Prevention Bureau is currently open to the public from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. If you wish
to discuss these plan check comments, please call during our business hours or e-mail us at the
address below. Permit status can be tracked by logging on to http://www.buttecounty.net/dds and
clicking Building Permits Status. Once the above requirements are met, and prior to a Building
Final Inspection, please call (530) 538-6226; this is CAL FIRE/BCFD recorded inspection line;
you will need the information at the top of this page. Inspection requests that come through any
other phone numbers will cause a delay in completing your permit.
