The numbered comments listed below in the body of this letter must be addressed prior to Fire Department Final Inspection of your project. 1. Ensure building and suites have appropriate building identification. Identification shall be placed in a position that is plainly visible from the street or road fronting property. Minimum 4" high and 0.5" stroke. Post address at the street main entrance and on the main or first building encountered. Ensure that other buildings on site are identified with same standard as address. Buildings can be numbered,lettered or named,but must be same label as staff on site uses. 2. Provide and maintain an all-weather access of at least 20' wide,with 15' vertical clearance that will allow for ingress and egress and accommodate a 40,000-pound fire apparatus to within 150' of all structures. 3. Provide a detailed map, including access roads,building locations and building identification, hydrants,utility disconnects,parking areas,and assembly points. 4. Provide an emergency preparedness plan, including emergency contacts. 5. No smoking within buildings. Provide a designated outdoor smoking area with appropriate cigarette receptacles. BBQ's, and smoking shall not be allowed in the corridors and/or inside the buildings.No cooking or cooking appliances with in the rooms.No candles or other open flames within the buildings. 6. Provide Vehicle Protection/Bollards for LPG tanks along drive aisles. 7. Fire Alarm/Occupant Notification system for sleeping units must be operational and monitored by a listed central station. 8. Fire Alarm/Occupant Notification system for kitchen and dining hall must be operational and monitored by a listed central station. 9. Fire Alarm/Occupant Notification system for Recreation Buildings must be operational and monitored by a listed central station. 10. Provide one 40 B rated Fire Extinguisher for each diesel fuel tank with a travel distance not to exceed 30'. Extinguishers shall be mounted in a conspicuous place, easily accessible and readily available,and shall be along normal paths of travel. Extinguishers shall be mounted so that the top of the extinguisher is no higher than 5'above finished floor. Where extinguishers may be subject to physical damage they shall be adequately protected. 11. Provide"K"Class Fire Extinguisher within thirty feet of kitchen hood system. Extinguishers shall be mounted in a conspicuous place,easily accessible and readily available,and shall be along normal paths of travel. Extinguishers shall be mounted so that the top of the extinguisher is no higher than 5'above finished floor.Where extinguishers may be subject to physical damage they shall be adequately protected. 12. Extinguishers shall be 2A10BC. One extinguisher is required for every 3000 square feet and must be within 75 feet from any point. Extinguishers shall be mounted in a conspicuous place, easily accessible and readily available, and shall be along normal paths of travel. Extinguishers shall be mounted so that the top of the extinguisher is no higher than 5'above finished floor. Where extinguishers may be subject to physical damage they shall be adequately protected. 13. Kitchen Hood must be inspected by a qualified individual in accordance with CFC 609.3.3.1, typically every 6 months, cleaning may be necessary. Hood Extinguishing system must serviced by a qualified individual in accordance with CFC 904.12.6,typically every six months.
