The numbered comments listed below in the body of this letter must be addressed prior to Fire Department Approval of your project. 1. Please complete and return the attached Statement of Intended Use. Include type and amount of any combustible, flammable or hazardous materials. 2. Provide submittals for overhead fire door. 3. Openings in the three hour fire wall are limited to 156 square feet maximum per CBC Section 706.8. The proposed roll up door exceeds this. If you require a door larger than 156 square feet, change the fire wall to a fire barrier. 4. Provide a minimum of(3) 4A8OBC rated fire extinguisher mounted in an accessible conspicuous area. Travel distance to a fire extinguisher shall not exceed 50 feet from any point. 5. Address and Building Identification: Ensure building and suites have appropriate building identification. Identification shall be placed in a position that is plainly visible from the street or road fronting property. Minimum 4" high and 0.5" stroke. Post address at the street main entrance and on the main or first building encountered. Ensure that other buildings on site are identified with same standard as address. Buildings can be numbered, lettered or named,but must be same label as staff on site uses. 6. Notify Butte County Fire Department(530) 538-6320 if any hazardous operations,processes or storage will be conducted in any unit. A special permit from the Fire Department may be required. The Fire Prevention Bureau is currently open to the public from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.
