The plans you recently submitted have been reviewed by the Fire Department referencing the 2016 edition of the California Fire Code (CFC). The numbered comments listed below in the body
of this letter must be addressed prior to Fire Department Final Inspection of your project.
Post a sign on each container stating “EXPLOSIVES-KEEP OFF”. Sign should be all weather, have contrasting colors, and letters with a minimum ½ inch stroke and three inch height.
Post a sign on all access roads leading to site stating” DANGER! NEVER FIGHT EXPLOSIVE FIRES. EXPLOSIVES ARE STORED ON THIS SITE. CALL 911.” Signs should be all weather with a reflective
surface and letters not less than two inches tall.
The Fire Prevention Bureau is currently open to the public from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. If you wish to discuss these plan check comments, please call during our business hours or e-mail
