The numbered comments listed below in the body of this letter must be addressed prior to Fire Department Final Inspection of your project. 1. SRA Area: This project is within the State Responsibility Area, and a Very High Fire Hazard Severity Zone, ensure compliance with SRA Fire Safe Regulations. Adequate fire protection measures must be in place during construction. All flammable vegetation and fuels caused by site development and construction, road and driveway construction and/or fuel modification must be removed, chipped, buried or burned prior to completion of building permit. 2. Access: Prior to building construction, provide an all-weather access of at least 10 feet wide for residential, and 20 feet wide for commercial, and 15 feet vertical clearance that will allow for ingress and egress and accommodate a 40,000-pound fire apparatus to within 150 feet of all structures. 3. Address and Building Identification: Minimum 4" high and 0.5" stroke with a contrasting color background and posted at the street main entrance and on the main or first building encountered. Ensure that other buildings on site are identified with same standard as address. Buildings can be numbered, lettered or named, but must be same label as staff on site uses. 4. Extinguishers: Extinguishers in suites shall be 2A10BC. 1 extinguisher is required for every 3000 square feet and be within 75' from any point. Extinguishers shall be mounted in a conspicuous place, easily accessible and readily available, and shall be along normal paths of travel. Extinguishers shall be mounted so that the top of the extinguisher is no higher than 5' above finished floor. The Fire Prevention Bureau is currently open to the public from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.
