Please complete and return the Statement of Intended Use form that provided to you at permit intake so we can determine if there may be additional requirements. The numbered comments listed below in the body of this letter must be addressed prior to Fire Department Final Inspection of your project. Access: Prior to building construction, provide an all-weather access of at least 10 feet wide for residential, and 20 feet wide for commercial, and 15 feet vertical clearance that will allow for ingress and egress and accommodate a 40,000-pound fire apparatus to within 150 feet of all structures. Storage: Storage shall be maintained 2 feet or more below the ceiling in non-sprinkled areas of buildings or a minimum of 18 inches below sprinkler deflectors in sprinkled areas of building. The Fire Prevention Bureau is currently open to the public from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.
