Dear Applicant,
The plans you recently submitted have been reviewed by the Fire Department referencing the 2016 edition of the California Fire Code (CFC). The numbered comments listed below in the body
of this letter must be addressed prior to Fire Department Final Inspection of your project.
1. Ensure that building is identified with same standard address. Buildings can be numbered, lettered, or named, but must be same label as staff on site uses. Minimum 4" height with
1/2" stroke.
2. Fire extinguishers are required. (Ordinary/Moderate Hazard.) Provide one 2A:20B-C Extinguisher for every 3000 sqft. Travel distance to any extinguisher shall not exceed 75'. Extinguishers
shall be mounted no higher than 5 feet from finished floor, be located along normal paths of travel and readily available and easily accessible.
3. No high pile storage (over 12' high) shall be permitted.
The Fire Prevention Bureau is currently open to the public from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. If you wish to discuss these plan check comments, please call during our business hours or contact

ready for a final inspection.
