The numbered comments listed below in the body of this letter must be addressed prior to Fire Department Final Inspection of your project. 1. Address and Building Identification: Ensure structure has appropriate building identification, minimum 4" high and 0.5" stroke. Ensure the street address is posted at the street main entrance and on the main or first building encountered. All other buildings on site are identified with same standard as address. Buildings can be numbered, lettered or named, but must be same label as staff on site uses. 3. Fire Extinguishers: Extinguishers must be mounted on a bracket or in a cabinet with the top not more than five feet above the floor. Extinguishers may be required to have a sign mounted above in order to be visible from a distance. Ordinary Hazard occupancy: Provide a minimum of (2) 2A20BC rated fire extinguisher mounted in an accessible conspicuous area. One extinguisher is required for every 1500 square feet and the travel distance to a fire extinguisher shall not exceed 75 feet from any point. The Fire Prevention Bureau is currently open to the public from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. Please contact us when you are ready for a final inspection.
