Board Members,
The EOC remains activated and meeting virtually. In this morning’s briefing we discussed the
upcoming wind event. Sometime this afternoon winds will pick up in the fire area, and in the
following 48 hours it is expected to blow in 3 separate directions. The first part of the wind storm will
blow the fire away from Butte Meadows and out of the County, but unfortunately the second part of
the wind storm is expected to blow the fire back towards Butte Meadows and the County. This is
anticipated for tomorrow morning. Eventually the wind will shift again and blow away from our area.
We are monitoring the situation closely, and ready to support evacuations and open up shelters if
they become necessary.
This is the only update of the day unless things change.
