Willow Glen has had programmatic challenges with maintaining a sufficient census over the past
couple of years. BCBH has engaged in multiple discussions over the past two years about this with
them however Willow Glen has not been willing to change some of their rigid admission criteria
which has created barriers to admission including how they responded to COVID 19. As a result, they
have been unable to meet sufficient census to stay fiscally solvent. The 30-day notice reflects the
culmination of many meetings and attempts to improve this issue.

Subject: Iris House update
Hello everyone,
I wanted to let you know that Willow Glen, who has operated Iris House for the past 5 years, has
nd
announced this week that they will be ending their contract effective September 2 with BCBH to
provide Crisis Residential services. As they initiate the transition period Iris House will not be
accepting new referrals. Existing clients at Iris House will continue their placement until an
appropriate discharge plan can be established. We are currently reviewing a variety of options for
the building including restarting Crisis Residential services with another provider and will be let you
know what the next steps are shortly.
We want to take this moment and to thank Willow Glen for their services over the years to our
clients and community. In addition, I wanted to assure you that the closure of Iris House does not
have any impact on Trinity Pines or other out of county programs that we contract with Willow Glen
for.
Thank you,
Scott
