Ltr_Forde-052021.docx May 20, 2021 Mr. Austin Forde Assistant Planner Butte County Development Services 7 County Center Drive Oroville, CA 95965 SUBJECT: RICK AND KIMBERLY SCOTT PARCEL MAP PRE-APPLICATION CONFERENCE Dear Austin: The Scott family are proposing to divide their 183.6 acre parcel into four parcels with a designated remainder. The proposed parcels range in size from 35.8 acres to 53.6 acres with the designated remainder parcel being 25.8 acres. The existing parcel spans from ridge top to ridge top of the Clear Creek drainage with the valley gently sloping and the canyon walls fairly steep. Development of these proposed parcels will be in the valley portion. The Scott family currently live in the existing house that is located in the western portion of proposed Parcel 2 and access their house via Out of the Way Road (private) and the existing bridge over Clear Creek. Out of the Way Road connects to Clark Road (public). Access to the proposed parcels will be the same. We are confident that there are building sites that have adequate soil to obtain approval from Environmental Health. The proposed parcels are consistent with or larger than the surrounding parcels.
