Director Amy Travis Date: August 19, 2021 530-934-6441 Drought: Bottled Water Distribution Event Glenn County, California Glenn County is hosting another emergency bottled water distribution events for residents impacted by dry wells resulting from the current drought. The bottled water was donated by our local Amazon and Wal-Mart sites in Glenn County. The water distribution will be coordinated by the Glenn Office of Emergency Services (OES) with assistance from the Volunteers In Partnership with the Sheriff (VIPS) and the Orland Volunteers in Police Services (VIPS). Bottled Water Distribution Event: Dates: Wednesday, August 25, 2021 Time: 4 to 6 p.m. th Location: Orland Fire Department, 810 5 St., Orland, CA 95963 Requirements: Must be a resident of Glenn County. Residents must complete a Glenn County Well Incident report. o Resident must document that they have a well that has gone dry due to drought. o wĻƭźķĻƓƷƭ ǞźƷŷ ƩǒƓƓźƓŭ ǞğƷĻƩ Ʒƚ ƷŷĻźƩ ŷƚǒƭĻ ğƩĻ ƓƚƷ ĻƌźŭźĬƌĻ͵ Limited quantifies available *Additional events may be scheduled based on supply. * Please do not bring donations to the water distribution sites. We are unable to accept donations at the site. Glenn County has received 166 reports of well related incidents. Of the 166 reports, 115 selected the dry well designation. The primary area impacted by dry wells is in northern Glenn County along the Stony Creek fan area, including the unincorporated areas of Orland and Capay. All reports are from private landowners; no community water systems have been impacted in Glenn County. Residents can file a Well Incident Report online at: www.countyofglenn.net/Drought select Dry Well Reporting from the menu. This report can be completed from a computer or smart phone.
