During the demonstration, Pallet is building the micro shelter from start to finish and providing information about construction and amenities. Each unit provides individual occupants with dignified, safe temporary shelter with locking door and protection from the elements include heat, air conditioning, and insulation. Caring Choices is available during the event to answer questions and to discuss how you can support our efforts to positively impact and improve the way in which people live. Since 1993, Caring Choices has provided housing assistance and case management services to support our mission of improving the health and welfare of residents in Northern California by providing services that are currently non- existent or limited in availability and accessibility, improving community services through volunteerism. Pallet is the national leader in rapid-response shelter villages and has provided thousands of individual temporary shelter beds to cities throughout the country. A majority of the employees, who build these shelters, have experienced homelessness, addiction, or incarceration. Attached you will find a flyer about the event. Please forward to anyone you think would be interested in attending the demonstration.
