Please exercise judgment before opening .. attachments, clicking on links, or replying. To the Board of Supervisors: I am a voter, parent, homeowner and resident of Chico. The COVID19 emergency has not ended and we are deep in a new resurgence of cases across the US. As of Friday Aug 20, Butte County had 504 new cases over the previous 5 days, while the previous 7 day period was 484. As of last Friday, county hospitals had only 4 ICU beds available, and Enloe Hospital is experiencing asurgein C OVID-19 cases. In short, the COVID19 crisis is in no way resolved. Please don't make a political decision about an urgent medical situation. Denying reality and ensuring people cannot get appropriate medical help is dangerous to the community.
