.ATTENTION: This message originated from outside Butte County. Please exercise judgment before opening

I am writing to encourage you NOT to rescind the Covid 19 proclamation. We have a continued weekly rise in
infection, fast spread of the Delta, a sad number of low vaccination rates and individuals on “their honor” system for
masking. We all want life pre Covid but putting our head in the sand and hoping it goes away with minimal effective
strategies in place it just won’t happen. In order to at least keep our schools, (I have two school age children) and
businesses please do not rescind. Our poor healthcare workers taking the burden of these decisions is unfair. We
also have school personnel going non stop with the positive tracing burden. I would like to see the county go back
to indoor masking for everyone. Instead of rescinding maybe the board of supervisors (Doug, Bill and Tod
especially) can use their time to encourage vaccination.
