Please exercise judgment before opening attachments, clicking on links, or replying.. Dear Board of Supervisors, Regarding the discussion about rescinding the Emergency Proclamation concerning Covid: I am writing to ask that you do NOT rescind the Emergency Proclamation! We need to follow the State of California’s COVID guidelines! With so few vaccinated in our county, including healthcare personnel at Enloe Medical Center, we have invited the Delta variant in, and are experiencing a surge of Covid cases in the hospitals, as well as in the community. More of our kids are getting sick now and it will only get worse if people continue to deny the existence of a deadly virus, deny the need to vaccinate every person, and refuse to understand the effectiveness of wearing a mask. We need to increase education in the community regarding the above, as well as regularly roll out local statistics about Covid positive case numbers, hospitalized covid patients, ventilated covid patients, and ages of these people. This is the time to increase our efforts to educate and protect our community, NOT back down. Sincerely, Avril Lantican A registered voter Sent from my iPad
