Hello, IamwritingtorequestthatyouNOTtorescindtheCovid19proclamation.Wehavea continuedweeklyriseinCovidinfectionsandanunacceptablelownumberofvaccination rates.Wearerelyingonindividuals"ontheirhonor”systemformasking.Weallwantto returntolifepre-Covidbutputtingourheadinthesandandhopingitgoesawaywithminimal effectivestrategiesinplaceitjustwon’thappen. Inordertoatleastkeepourschools,(Ihavetwoschoolagechildren)andbusinessespleasedo notrescind. Ouroverworkedandstressedhealthcareworkersareunfairlytakingtheburdenof thesedecisions.Wealsohaveschoolpersonnelburdenedwiththepositivetracing. Iwouldliketorequestthatthecountygobacktoindoormaskingforeveryonemuchlikethe BayAreahasSacramentocountyhasdoneregardlessofvaccinationstatus.Insteadof rescindingmaybetheboardofsupervisors(Doug,BillandTodespecially)canusetheirtime toencouragevaccination.
