We finally heard back from OptumServe. We requested that they let us know which PCR test they
use and if they would be impacted by the “retirement” of the CDC developed PCR test.
The short answer is they will not be impacted because they use a different PCR test. Below is their
full response with the technical names and the lab the use:
BLUF (Bottom Line Up Front): The PerkinElmer Valencia Branch Laboratory does not utilize the kit
referenced in the Laboratory Alert message. The methodology for their test platform was developed
and validated by PerkinElmer at the VBL.
