BUTTE COUNTY TWO-PART MEETING SERIES FOR
GENERAL PLAN 2040 UPDATE
TO BE HELD ON SEPTEMBER 21 AND SEPTEMBER 29
Butte County is currently undertaking an update of its General Plan, last updated in 2010.
The General Plan 2040 update process will support the County’s efforts to recover from both
the Camp Fire and North Complex Fire, to become more resilient to the effects of climate
change, to address housing needs, and environmental justice issues.
The Butte County General Plan Update Workshop #2 will be held in two-parts. This
Workshop will discuss three key issues: Safety and Resilience, Housing, and
Environmental Justice. Policy topics discussed will vary by meeting. Meeting 1,
Tuesday, September 21, 2021, 6-8pm, will focus on Safety, Resilience, and Housing.
Meeting 2,Wednesday, September 29, 2021, 6-8pm, will focus on Environmental
Justice and Housing
Register now for one or both of the meetings at Eventbrite. Each meeting will start with a
brief presentation with some background information, followed by an interactive conversation
in which participants will discuss and provide input on policies to be included in the updated
General Plan.
Both meetings will be held over Zoom, which allows participants to join by computer, tablet,
or phone. Please register and select which meeting(s) you plan to attend to receive a link(s)
to join the meeting(s).
