Board Vacancy Notice
The Butte County Board of Supervisors is hereby giving notice of a vacancy on the Forest
Advisory Committeefor Tourism and Economic Development Alternate Seat.The Board of

Supervisors may consider making an appointment to fill this vacancy on or after October 18,
2021(always 14 days after the vacancy notice is posted).The term will end 4 years after the date
of appointment.
Butte County’s General Plan 2030 addresses Butte County’s commitment to protection,
enhancement, utilization and management of natural resources; the importance of agricultural
enterprises, and the need for parks and recreation opportunities. The Board of Supervisors
established the Forest Advisory Committee (FAC) to facilitate public involvement and assist
the County in its quest to meet these guiding principles of the Butte General Plan 2030 as it
pertains to use of public lands. The Committee serves to gather information and opinions from
interested parties, to present pertinent recommendations to the Butte County Board of
Supervisors through the Coordinating Committee, and to serve as a resource in Coordination
efforts. The FAC is comprised of 5 public membersand alternates representing the following
areas of expertise/interest: •Agriculture/Timber Management, •Recreation-Motorized,
•Recreation-Non-motorized, •Environmental and Watershed Management, and
•Economic/Tourism..
