Good morning Board –
I have followed up with our consultant on a number of occasions, advocating that they develop and
post their proposals/versions of their “draft maps” in the DistricR program. Unfortunately they are
unable to create exact duplicates of their “draft maps” in the DistrictR program – and they have
concerns of posting their draft maps in a tool that is designed for the public to use.
I realize this isn’t ideal for those who wish to directly modify replicas of the draft maps. While it’s not
the perfect solution – individuals can submit very similar versions to the ones proposed, however,
they would need to use the attached drafts (which are posted on our website) as models. I will
continue to see if there is a better way to accomplish this.

are able to utilize (drill down and see the details) on the attached “webmap” versions of the
consultant’s proposed maps. These maps are also posted on the County Redistricting Website – on
the “Maps” page.

Attached are webmap versions of the draft plans that the consultants provided. These versions will
allow you to zoom in and see more of the street details.
They are still working with DistrictR to see if these proposed maps can also be placed on DistrictR as
well.

We received the attached presentation from the redistricting consultants last night. We will be
updating the Board packet online, as well as posting this on the Butte County Redistricting website
(on the Meetings and the Map pages) shortly.
The proposed consultant maps will be available via DistrictR as well – and I will follow up with more
information on that shortly.
