BUTTE COUNTY CLIMATE ACTION PLAN NOW AVAILABLE FOR PUBLIC REVIEW
The Draft 2021 Butte County Climate Action Plan is now available for public review.
The Draft 2021 Climate Action Plan covers an extensive review and inventory of Greenhouse Gas
Emissions within the unincorporated area of Butte County. There is also thorough discussion on impacts
and mitigations along with Strategies and Goals on how to meet State imposed target emission levels.
This Plan is an update from the 2014 Climate Action Plan. The Plan and the General Plan Environmental
Impact Report (EIR) Addendum are located here: https://www.buttecounty.net/dds/bccapupdate2020
under “Draft 2021 Butte County Climate Action Plan” and “General Plan Environmental Impact Report
CAP Addendum”. A Public Hearing before the Butte County Planning Commission is scheduled at 9:00
am on Thursday, November 18th at 25 County Center Drive, Oroville.
Your comments are welcome. Please submit your comments before Thursday, November 4th so we are
better able to draft the Staff Report and present to the Planning Commissioners.
