California CareForce 2021 Chico Clinic
November 12-14, 2021
HEALTHCARE PROFESSIONALS COME TOGETHER TO SERVE THOSE IN NEED
Public Health On-site with Health Education and Resources
BUTTE COUNTY, CA – Butte County Public Health (BCPH) will provide health education and resources
at this year’s California CareForce health clinic event on November 12-14 at the Silver Dollar
Fairgrounds in Chico, CA. More than 350 volunteer healthcare professionals from throughout
California are projected to provide needed care for an anticipated 650 people per day.
All services are FREE; clinic participants do NOT need proof of insurance, employment, income,
residency, immigration status or an ID to receive them.
BCPH will provide on-site resources from several programs including Tobacco Cessation, Oral Health,
Opioid Misuse Prevention and Treatment, STD Prevention and vaccinations for both COVID-19 and
influenza. COVID-19 vaccines will be available on November 12 and 13 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.,
including Pfizer (ages 12+), Moderna and J&J.
Additional services from providers include a vision lab with free prescription eyeglasses and dentistry
services with x-rays, cleanings, fillings, and extractions. Medical doctors will provide consultations,
general health exams, and chiropractic services will also be available at the clinic.
In 2019, over 600 volunteers provided more than half a million dollars’ worth of free healthcare
services to more than 1,200 patients.
This clinic is made possible by generous donations from CareForce sponsors. Platinum-level sponsors
include America’s Tires – Driven to Care Foundation and North Valley Community Foundation &
Butte Strong Fund. Additional sponsors include the American Red Cross and Golden Valley Bank. This
clinic is a collaboration with Placer-Nevada and Yuba-Sutter-Colusa Medical Society, Butte-Glenn
Medical Society, Enloe Medical Center, and Butte County Public Health.
Professional volunteers are still needed in numerous capacities including oral surgeons, dentists,
dental hygienists, dental assistants, dental x-ray techs, ophthalmologists, optometrists, opticians,
ophthalmic techs, RNs, doctors, EMTs, nurse practitioners, pharmacists, acupuncturists, and
chiropractors. General volunteers are also still needed to assist in various roles throughout the clinic.
