To: Butte County Board of Supervisors,
My name is Dawn Letner and I live in the community of Cohasset. It is a beautiful community covered
with large trees and is high enough in elevation to be a cooler area to live during the hot summers. Our
area is reached by one road that dead ends in the mountains, this road is the only means to escape a
major fire. Each summer it becomes dangerously dry and fire danger is very high. We need assistance
for road improvements, brush reduction, and numerous needs particular to our tree covered community.
Please keep our area in the foothill/mountain district and give us the opportunity to develop a safe place
to live.
