Subject:Update on move to Partnership HealthPlan of California

Dear Board members,
As you know, Butte County is one of several counties who have indicated our interest in moving
from the Regional Medi-Cal Managed Care model to a COHS model by joining Partnership Health
Plan of California (Partnership). All counties submitted resolutions to DHCS as required. This email is
to provide you with an update on the DHCS response:
Last week, DHCS sent an email indicating “DHCS has received the county ordinances and is assured
that the ordinances meet the intent of the county proposing to change their plan model type,
effective January 1, 2024”. They went on to conditionally approve all the counties to move on to the
next stage of the model change assessment process. The next step is for Partnership to submit a
high level narrative for the Network Strategy.
Counties included are:
· Butte, Colusa, Glenn, Nevada, Placer, Plumas, Sierra, Sutter, Tehama, and Yuba counties
Respectfully,
Danette York
