Comment: To be clear regarding the city of Chico being part of 4 supervisors districts. Most
of
the Chico should belong to 2 supervisors as it is now. However, having some of the
population on the outskirts belong to 2 other supervisors (as it is now) would be
appropriate. Thank you, Patricia Puterbaugh

This is Patricia Puterbaugh at I have lived in Cohasset for

Regarding redistricting, so far, I do not see a map that I think would be representative
of what the districts should look like. I would like to see something that is more like
the current maps. I have not heard anyone say they are dissatisfied with the current
district maps.
I realize we have to make some significant changes due to population loss in
Paradise and potentially Berry Creek/Feather Falls area.
I would like to continue to see Chico divided into 4 districts. Chico IS the largest seat
of population in Butte County. Everyone in our county comes to Chico for many
reasons at times. I think each supervisor needs to understand the politics and issues
of the Chico Urban area.
The outlying districts of Cohasset, Forest Ranch, Nord, Paradise need representation
in their districts to include Chico. The city of Chico is where each of these
communities (Paradise less than the others, but more than before the Camp Fire)
shops, works, goes to school, goes for entertainment, dines, and meets others from
around the county. I do not want Cohasset to be in a district that does not include
Chico. It is our "town".
You are also aware most of Cohasset residents want to be part of other foothill
communities. Foothill communities have common issues such as emergency
preparedness, wildfire, sheriff, education needs, poor internet, water scarcity, road
access and others.
Agriculture also needs a minimum of two districts that I think should include some of
Chico.
Again, the current districts are satisfactory as far as I understand to many voters. If
we could keep some of the same lines and take small areas in our out of each district
I think residents would be satisfied.
Sincerely, Patricia Puterbaugh
