Dear Butte County Supervisors:
I am sorely disappointed that Supervisors Connelly, Kimmelshue, and Teeter voted to approve
map A5C. Kimmelshue drew that himself! It's a brazen act of self interest and we all know the
map is gerrymandered.
You ignored the hundreds of Butte County residents who wrote, spoke up, and protested. You
brazenly pushed forward a map that has been criticized as violating the Fair Maps Act. And
you openly welcome a challenge. You're going to get one.
You three supervisors made a very bad choice. You wasted $80,000 of taxpayer money that
was spent to draw up fair and legal maps. You ignored the voices of the voters. You acted
selfishly. You will be held accountable.
