This week the plans are being considered for adoption in the three groundwater subbasins in Butte County: Butte, Vina, and Wyandotte Creek. The Butte County Board of Supervisors held a public hearing and passed a resolution yesterday, December 14, 2021 adopting the Butte Subbasin Groundwater Sustainability Plan. Butte County is one of 11 Groundwater Sustainability Agencies (GSAs) in the Butte Subbasin responsible for implementing the Sustainable Groundwater Management Act. Over the course of the next month, all GSAs in the Butte Subbasin will be considering adoption of the same plan. The plan is available online: https://www.buttecounty.net/waterresourceconservation/Sustainable-Groundwater-Management-Act The Vina GSA and Rock Creek Reclamation District GSA will be considering adoption of the plan for the Vina Subbasin this th evening, December 15, 2021 at 6:00 p.m. at the City of Chico Council Chambers. The plan and meeting information is available online: https://www.vinagsa.org/ The Wyandotte Creek GSA will be considering adoption of the plan for the Wyandotte Creek Subbasin at their meeting th tomorrow, December 16, 2021 at the City of Oroville Council Chambers at 2:00 p.m. The plan and meeting information is available online: https://www.wyandottecreekgsa.com/ Staff would like to thank all of those who have participated in the development of these plans.
