We are writing to inform you that as oftoday(Monday, May4, 2020)the Sacramento Recycling
and Transfer Station hasimplemented modified operations to allow the facility to resume
processing recyclable materials collected from your jurisdictions.
After careful review and implementation of these new procedures, we can operate our MRF
safely, allowing for social distancing among staff. These procedures include a reduction of
employees on the sort line, slowing the line down, and various other protocols that adhere to
orders and guidance issued by the State of California, Sacramento County, the Centers for
Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), and the World Health Organization (WHO).
We appreciate your patience and understanding of the importance of keeping our employees
safe and healthy.
