Newsom Administration - Resources / Mutual Aid / Executive Orders
Today, Health and Human Services Secretary Dr. Mark Ghaly provided an overview ofthe
States response to COVID-19. Much of the questions from the press revolved around counties
having sufficient contact tracing to open and remain open. Dr. Ghaly noted this is an area they
are monitoring closely and are confident counties will meet attestation requirements as they

Latino Legislative Caucus Calls for Executive Action & Oversight
The California Latino Legislative Caucus has sent a letter to the Governor recommending
immediate executive action and oversight investigations on billions of dollars delivered to local
governments for pandemic relief. The letter also requests that businesses report workplace
infections to all their employees as well as state authorities. You may view the letterhere.
2020 Census
Governor Newsom issued a statement today on the Trump Administration's memorandum for
the Secretary of Commerce to exclude undocumented immigrants when determining
congressional representation following the 2020 Census. View here.
