Newsom Administration - Resources / Mutual Aid / Executive Orders
Today, Governor Newsom announced that he signed an emergency proclamation in response
to the West Coast heat wave. You may view the press release and proclamation here.
With the West Coast heat wave projected to intensify over the coming days, Governor Newsom
also signed an executive order today to free up additional energy capacity. View here.
The Governor announced today that Santa Cruz County has come off the States watch list,and
San Diego County is expected to come off as early as tomorrow. Amador, Calaveras, Inyo,
Mendocino, and Sierra counties have been added to the watch list. The Governor said his
administration is working to clarify guidance for counties who come off the watch list. Youmay

Skilled Nursing Facilities
Today, the Assembly Budget Subcommittee on Health and Human Services held an oversight
hearing: Long-Term Care at Home Pending Proposal and Skilled Nursing

Over the weekend, the Senate Budget and Fiscal Review Committee held a
COVID-19 Response Spending and The Division of Juvenile Justice (DJJ) Realignment.You may

New EDD & LWDA Appointments
This past Friday, Governor Newsom announced the appointment of new executive team
members at the Employment Development Department and a senior advisor at the Labor and
Workforce Development Agency. View here.
