The cooling center will be located at Depot Park, on 5th and Cedar Streets, and will be open from noon through 8:00 p.m. each day. The cooling center will consist of a shade structure with misters for those seeking respite from the heat. β€œThe City Council directed staff to ensure this venue is available to the public when extreme weather conditions exist,” said Mark Orme, City of Chico City Manager.
