Yoder and Karen Lange - SYASL Weekly Update 9.4.20 AT0 Weekly County Update September 4, 2020 A LOOK AHEAD The legislature finished up the 2019-2020 session early Tuesday morning, marking the end of a very challenging legislative year. With the exception of AB 3088 (Chiu) regarding evictions, the Governor has yet to sign or veto any legislation that passed out of the houses and must be acted upon by September 30, 2020. Next week we will provide reports on bills sent to the Governor for signature. The passage of SB 793 (Hill) that will prohibit the sale of most flavored tobacco products has already been met with a referendum effort filed with the Secretary of State on August 31, 2020. Accordingly signature gathering has begun in order to qualify for the 2022 ballot.
