Board Members,
Mark Orme from the City of Chico has let me know that a settlement in the Warren v. Chico
sheltering crisis case is imminent. Once the settlement is approved, the City will have a press
conference announcing the details.
The Chico Pallet Shelter partnership between the City and County is the reason this settlement is
possible, therefore Mark has asked that representatives from the County be present. Scott and/or
Shelby will try to attend to answer any questions on services provided, and in addition the City
would like to have Board Members present who helped the partnership become a reality.
The Press Conference hasn’t yet been scheduled, since they do not know when the settlement will
be approved. They do know that the press conference will take place at 11 am one day this
upcoming week. If you would like to attend, please look at your calendars now and see what it would
take to make it happen on any day this week at 11 am. Mark does know that none of us can attend
on Tuesday.
The Press Conference announcement will likely provide short notice. I will let you know as soon as I
hear.
