Good afternoon Butte County and LAFCo!
Please find attached our eighth regular monthly update for the purpose of keeping the Butte County
Board of Supervisors and LAFCo Board apprised of progress in the Sewer Project. We will continue to
send these on a regular basis and welcome any opportunities to address the Board(s) as requested.

Paradise Sewer Project
Subject:December2021Monthly Status Report for Paradise Sewer Projectto Butte CountyAgencies

This monthly memo is intended to be a high level summary of activities for the purpose of regular
communication with Butte County agencies and to identify any need for formal Board presentations.
For project information, please see www.paradisesewer.com.
Efforts for Past Month:
Held the following meetings to review project efforts:
o On November 29, 2021, met with Supervisor Kimmelshue
o On December 1, 2021, met with Butte LAFCo staff
o On December 2, 2021, met with Supervisor Teeter
o On December 7, 2021, met with Supervisor Lucero, Supervisor Ritterand Butte County
staff(Joshua Pack and Paula Daneluk)
o On December 16, 2021, met with Supervisor Conneley
The Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control Board (Regional Board) hosts meetings of
the Sewer Regionalization Project Advisory Committee (SRPAC). The SRPAC met in-person
onDecember 13, 2021 at 1:00 pm at the City of Chico’s council chambers.Information about
SRPAC meetings, including agendas and meeting minutes, can be found at
www.paradisesewer.com.
Continued analysis and writing efforts for the Draft EIR.
Continued to update public website (www.paradisesewer.com).
The City of Chico, through its consultant Carollo Engineers, continued its analysis of the
potential to treat Paradise wastewater at the Chico Water Pollution Control Plant.
Continued funding application efforts.
Efforts for Next Month:
The next SRPAC meeting is scheduled for January 31, 2022 at the Town of Paradise council
chambers.
Continue writing efforts on the Draft Environmental Impact Report (EIR).
The City of Chico, through its consultant Carollo Engineers, will continue its analysis of the
potential to treat Paradise wastewater at the Chico Water Pollution Control Plant.
Continue funding application efforts.

None identified at this time, beyond the meetings identified above.
