Good afternoon Board of Supervisors,
Last month the Agriculture Commissioner received confirmation from the Department of Food and
Agriculture (DFA) that the Department did not meet the five year Maintenance of Effort (MOE).
There were several mitigating circumstances that resulted in this occurrence and a formal response
letter has been sent to the DFA outlining these circumstances in detail. Please see the formal letter
attached to this email.
