Good morning,
On December 15, 2021, County Administration submitted the attached letter of support to Senator
Padilla recommending reauthorization of the U.S. Department of Commerce Economic Development
Administration (EDA).
Today, Senator Padilla’s office notified us that he has incorporated elements of Butte County’s
requests in his letter to Chairman Carper and Ranking Member Capito, including supporting disaster
resiliency and recovery.
Many thanks to Katie Simmons and Jaclyn Thompson for getting Butte’s needs included in the
Senator’s letter.
