HomeMy WebLinkAbout21-107WHEREAS, a petition to change a portion of the road name of Lake Madrune Road located to the east of the
Madrone Way intersection and west of Gamble road in Berry Creek was submitted by owners of APN062-138-022,Christi
and Stephen Gne|ner, to the Butte County Address Coordinator is found consistent with the requirements of Butte County
Code Chapter 32Address Ordinance; and
WHEREAS, given that this impacted section of Lake Madrone Road has been rendered impassible due to a flood
event, and that this road is ako impaissible to the north due to lack of an established road way; and
WHEREAS, the Department of Development Services supports this road name change as a matter of public health
and safety; and
WHEREAS, the Address Coordinator finds the request consistent with the purpose of Butte County Code section
32-1, which stipulates the need to provide for orderly development and, eliminate dupilica,tion and uncertainty, a definite
system of finding dwellings and business locations rapidly and with certainty is needed in the interest of the public
health, welfare and safety for the unincorporated areas Vfthe County mfButte.
WHERE/\S, It is necessary to enable emergency vehicles to respond quickly to calls, expedite postal and other
delivery sen/ices, eliminate confusion and error and locate business places and residences for customers and friends
without difficulty and loss oftime; and
WHEREAS, the request isconsistent with Butte County Code section 32-4(o) that all streets nrroads shall be
known by the same name for the entire length, where the impacted section of road is a continuation of Madrone Way;
and
WHEREAS, the request is consistent through this Board of Supervisors review and signed address modification
form that the requirements of Butte County Code sections 32-5 and 32-6 have been met; and
WHEREAS, the proposed road name exists with the connecting portion mfMadromeWay tothe west; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the, Butte County Board of Supervisors hereby:
1. Gives notice that at its regular meeting omAugust 24, 2021,at9:30e.m,inthe Board ofSupervisors Chambers,
Butte County Administration Building, 25County Center Drive, OrovNe,California, ahearing shall beheld to
hear all persons interested imthe change ofaportion ofLake MadnoneRoad tnMadromeWay.
2. That at the conclusion of said hearing the Board intends to change the name of portion of Lake Madnome
Road to Madrone Way.
BE[TFURTHER RESOLVED that the Board of Supervisors hereby orders that notice nfthe August 24,2U31public
hearing shall be given by ��sting notice in at least three (3) places along the road proposed to be affected, such posting
tobecomplete atleast ten days before the day set for the hearing,
